The typical cause of failure of this solenoid is the sticking starter solenoid contacts. TST recommends replacement of these starter solenoid contacts with kit R90SS.
TST also recommends use of the solenoid saver diode SS99 when the shutdown solenoid is replaced to prevent burning up the new solenoid.
