While our TripleLok® torque converter is designed to handle any load without increasing line pressure, for owners hauling heavy loads with high horsepower we recommend an upgraded valve body to protect your transmission. Using our high performance engineered valve body along with our TripleLok® torque converter and TripleLok Commander™ you will get:

• Increased ATF flow through coolers resulting in lower ATF temperatures
• Better shift quality
• Longer ATF life
• Torque converter lockup in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears (when using Commander™)
• Lockup maintained during shift from 4th to 3rd (this is especially nice during engine braking)
• No converter drain-back when truck is sitting for an extended period of time
• Transmission oiling in "Park" (good for owners with trucks that sit idling for extended periods of time)
• Engine braking in capability in all gears
• Ability to reliably pull 6,000-13,000 pound loads on factory transmission

If you are pulling 6,000 plus pound loads or have a modified engine, we highly recommend our towing performance valve body. We have two performance valve bodies to choose from; our towing version designed to maintain superb shift quality wile managing the heaviest loads and the race version for extreme performance applications. Our racing valve body has all of the advantages as our towing valve body, and delivers firmer shifts and higher torque capacity, an excellent choice for engines producing boost levels above 40PSI or power levels of 500HP.
