The ATS Co-Pilot Transmission Management Computer lets you control your Dodge Cummins® transmission (Mid 98+). The ATS Co-Pilot corrects erratic torque converter control operation that plagues high mileage trucks. You might not have actual torque converter problems; you may just need better torque converter control! Factory computers are programmed to disengage lock-up under many conditions, often inhibiting transmission performance. This electronic transmission package gives you control over converter lock-up in your vehicle. Provides better acceleration and cooler running temperatures. Push-button control lets you select the speed at which the converter clutch will engage and disengage. Minimum speed for lock-up is approximately 18 mph, so the converter won't kill the engine when coming to a stop. With the power off, the Co-Pilot reverts to factory control. Gives you braking or hold back, even without an exhaust brake. (If an exhaust brake is in place, the Co-Pilot can automatically control the brake and converter clutch). Allows first and second gear lock-up when used with the ATS Valve Body.
